Leipzig Stadium is a stadium with both a proud history and a bright future. Since 2010, Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have played their home matches at the ground, located on a historical site in the heart of Leipzig. Before the construction of the Leipzig stadium was completed in 2004, the famous Zentralstadion Leipzig stood here from 1956 to 2000. The ground primarily hosted football matches, but other major athletic events were also held at the stadium. Up to 110.000 spectators attended football matches here. Today the capacity for international games is 41.122.
