The Gesundbrunnen stadium was built in the 1960s. It is an essential part of the sports axis in the Leine valley. The "Gesundbrunnen" stadium which is located on the Leineberg, right next to the Kurpark. It was completely renovated, renewed and extended in 2016/2017. There is a renovated athletics facility (competition facility type C) with the new natural grass large playing field, a large and a small artificial turf pitch, a multifunctional pitch for hockey, volleyball and basketball as well as a newly designed public climbing and bouldering facility. The large gymnasium offers space for all kinds of indoor sports. In addition to football matches, the home stadium of the football team of the 1st SC Heiligenstadt 1911 is also the venue for many other sports competitions, school sports festivals and club celebrations. Sufficient parking facilities are available directly in front of the stadium.
